Matt Clark is completing his second term of service with Roanoke Co+op’s Board of Directors and currently serves as secretary of the board.  Growing up in the construction industry, Matt gained many years of relevant experience with physical plant, small business management, and environmentally friendly construction practices.  His firm built several of the first independently certified environmentally conscious homes in the Roanoke Valley.

 

He has served with the Roanoke Valley Alleghany Regional Commission’s Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy Committee, the Green Building Committee of the Roanoke Valley Homebuilders Association, the Botetourt County Citizens Recycling Committee, and several other boards and trade organizations.  In his current role as Chief Operations Officer of a real estate company, Matt manages a team that operates hundreds of apartment homes in adaptive reuse properties that have been transformed from large vacant buildings into vibrant apartment communities.  He is also involved in the operation of numerous commercial properties, and participates in lease negotiation and administration, financial analysis, budgeting, small business development, and personnel management.
